It was time for a new profile pic.
Decided to start making artwork for my Rdio playlists, just for fun and practise.
I was feeling minimal the other day.
Colored pencils.
Decided to try my hand at making a simple tileable pattern!
A self-portrait in graphite I did for drawing class. This thing is huge! Like larger-than-life huge.
I think I’ll have more to show you guys this semester, which would be awesome!

A little illustration I had done awhile ago and then forgotten about!
I’ve been meaning to do a piece with jellyfish for awhile now - finally got a chance to! (Taken with Instagram)
My hummingbird and crow skulls, along with a couple of prints, are for sale at the Ottawa School of Art in the Byward market. There are also lots of great pieces there by other artists at the school. Have a look if you’re in the area!
Going back to school
On Monday! Excited to learn more art history, color theory, and use oils again (haven’t touched them all summer for fear of combustion). Not excited to haul around rolls of paper that weigh as much as an obese cat, but oh well, it’s worth it.
So this little blog might be a bit quieter for awhile, but expect different mediums and studies and things, as well as any interesting assignments. I’ll still do personal work when I can though!

So I bought a little bunch of Prismacolor colored pencils to try out. I’ve hated them for years (blame middle school), but I suddenly got the urge to try them again after gaping for awhile at the works of Marco Mazzoni and Bec Winnel. The verdict: I love them! Surprisingly blendable, and the colors are great.
Just a quick illustration! I’ve been really into these colors together lately.
